Native New England Shrubs
Shrubs vary widely in size, shape, color, bark, flower, and fruit. This hands-on course introduces you to many of the native New England shrub species that can be found at Garden in the Woods and throughout the local ecoregion. This course will challenge you to learn inductively, moving from examples that you locate in the field to more general principles and patterns. You will develop skills that will help you identify any shrub through dichotomous keys, field guides, or verifying plant ID apps.
