Asters and Goldenrods

Overview

Through an interactive presentation, a visit to the Garden in the Woods’ living collections, an examination of herbarium specimens, and a field exploration of a nearby conservation property, this class will explore the abundance and variety of asters and goldenrods in our late summer and early fall landscapes. We will look at subtleties of identification and habitat preferences of about forty-five species of asters and goldenrods.
